What Is Upper Primary TET?

Upper Primary TET is a teacher eligibility test for Classes 6 to 8. Qualifying this exam is mandatory for candidates who want to be considered for Upper Primary teaching posts in government and government-aided schools in West Bengal.

Age Limit for Upper Primary TET

Age is calculated as of 1st January of the year of advertisement publication.

  • OBC: 3 years age relaxation

  • PwD: As per government norms

If the notification is released in 2026, age will be calculated as on 1st January 2026.
