A Long-Awaited Update from OPSC
For the last few days, there was confusion and stress among aspirants regarding the OPSC Civil Services Examination 2025. Many candidates were worried because key services like OAS and ORS were missing in the earlier notification.
Finally, the Odisha Government and Odisha Public Service Commission listened to aspirants’ concerns. On 3 January 2024, an Addendum (Revised Notification) was officially released.
This update has brought major relief as total vacancies have now increased from 314 to 465 posts.
What Was the Main Issue Earlier?
Earlier notification had:
- Only 34 Group-A posts
- No Odisha Administrative Service (OAS)
- No Odisha Revenue Service (ORS)
- Aspirants called it “OS Exam without OS posts”
After continuous pressure and representation, the government revised the vacancies.
