A great government job opportunity has been announced for candidates who have passed Class 10. The Madhya Pradesh government has released a large recruitment notification for Forest Guard, Field Guard, Jail Prahari, and Assistant Jail Superintendent posts.
This recruitment offers more than 1600 vacancies, and candidates from across India can apply. If you have completed your 10th grade and are looking for a stable government job, this is a golden opportunity.
The application process is currently open, and the last date to apply is 14 March 2026. The written examination is scheduled to be held on 7 April 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must meet the following educational requirements:
- Forest Guard / Field Guard – 10th Pass
- Jail Prahari – 10th Pass
- Assistant Jail Superintendent – Graduation
Candidates from any state in India can apply, but those applying from outside Madhya Pradesh will be considered under the General category.
Age Limit
The age limit is calculated as of 1 January 2026.
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 33 years
Age relaxation is provided as per government rules:
- OBC – 3 years relaxation
- SC/ST – 5 years relaxation
Application Fee
The application fee structure is as follows:
- General and Other State Candidates – ₹500
- OBC / SC / ST / Female Candidates – ₹250
Salary Details
Selected candidates will receive an attractive salary along with allowances.
The approximate monthly salary is expected to be around ₹35,000 to ₹37,000, depending on the post and government allowances.

There is no running test for these posts, making them suitable for candidates who are not comfortable with physical running tests.
Jail Prahari

- Male: 2 minutes 50 seconds
- Female: 4 minutes
Shot Put
- Male: 20 feet
- Female: 16 feet
Assistant Jail Superintendent

- Male: 2 minutes 40 seconds
- Female: 3 minutes 40 seconds
Long Jump

Selection Process
The selection process consists of the following stages:
- Written Examination
- Physical Test (for certain posts)
- Document Verification
- Final Merit List
Exam Pattern
The written examination will contain 100 questions for 100 marks, and candidates will have 2 hours (120 minutes) to complete the test.
The exam will include questions from the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- General Knowledge
- General Science
- English
- Hindi
There is no negative marking in the exam, which increases the chances of scoring higher marks.
